You might have perhaps  heard of  Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, and for those who have  not necessarily next odds are  often used the outstanding  personal computer  game Dawn of War.

the makers are the masterminds behind these epic franchises. As the largest tabletop battle games enterprise on earth, Games Workshop can also be responsible for the greater recent games depending on the lord of the Rings trilogy.

A little bit Background

Warhammer 40k war was the very first game to be set inside Warhammers alternate middle earth realm.  Since its release in 1983 Warhammer has inspired ages of table top gamers and their figures, presenting them to painting and collecting the Warhammer miniature armies that represent battlefield armies. Warhammer figures Fantasy inspires amazing artwork.  Books produced included in the worlds background feature stunning illustrations.  Fans on the franchise also produce spectacular artwork of these own – often rivalling the official artists.

A costly Hobby

Warhammer has come a long way from those conception. Games Workshops commercial attitude to the franchise has turned many unsuspecting people into serious hobbyists that are almost hooked on the system.

Miniatures are supplied unpainted and unassembled, much like an airfix model.  To collect, build and paint armies comprising many models is not for that faint hearted!  Enhance this the need to generate scenery and model buildings and you also begin to enjoy the time, effort and money that fans invest into Warhammer.

Warhammer And also the Future

The Warhammer franchise definitely seems to be eternal.  Games Workshop are clearly ready to move using the times as demonstrated from the release of several video games in the last decade.

The impending release of a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) – Warhammer: Age of Reckoning - located in the Warhammer fantasy world is adding to the reputation of this gaming giant.  Nearly 600,000 folk have signed up hoping to obtain a sneak preview with the game, providing solid evidence that Warhammer has become firmly in the mainstream.
