Does anyone havve a favorite January travel destination for warm weather?

We’re looking for a week to 10 day trip to somewhere magical… We will have a 1 year old, so skiing is out, and Ideally only will fly 8 hours or less from Seattle. Initial thoughts are Hawaii, Mexico, Centeral America, and Carribean.

We like to rent a house as opposed to the all inclusive resort and eat, and live amongst the locals.
What do you think?

St.Barthelemy in the Carribean. It’s a beautiful place. A bit pricey, but it’s well worth it. The weather in January is wonderful and there is so much to do. You can rent a place of your own. The amenities are simple: Kitchen basics, appliances and weekly maid service. You can discover the island by car or walk/hike. All of the beaches are spectacular and almost everyone speaks English.
