Me and my sister are planing a vacation to the Keys. need some help?
shortstuff asked:
We are both in our mid 20′s, like to let loose, but not the “party girl” style girls. (she is married) we don’t want to spend TOO much money, but are willing to shell out a couple extra bucks for a nice vacation. I have heard all inclusive is the way to go. I really want to check out the local atmosphere, while she likes to shop. and we both LOVE to go out to eat for some GOOD food! we are planning on going in Feb. how warm is it there that time of year? (I live on top of the CO mountains, so 70 is almost too hot for me) and we really want to miss the spring break crowd, thats why we are not going in March. which Key should we stay at, what hotels are nice, anything will help! THANKS!

Key West is where you should stay. I wouldn’t buy an all inclusive trip, unless you are only talking hotel, air and car. The temp is about 80 that time of year, crowds aren’t bad so you should have fun. You can do a search and find out a lot or use orbitz to see what cost and options you have on hotels, planes and cars.

There are only a couple of Keys worth stopping at -first Largo, then one after I believe it is Asmara or something like that, then Key West. You are watching too many Tourism Commercials if you believe the Keys are all sunshine and skittles. Lots of slack -jaw locals and retirees on the dozen keys in-between but great scenery if you drive, After Miami shopping and real dining is in Key West only. All inclusive? what are you two, a couple of middle-age Europeans? There are several chain hotels throughout Key West that are reasonable. Temps are 75-85 during the day and usually humid even in March . Spring Break extends through mid March and of course there are the obnoxious bargain basement Cruise ships that stop in Key West every 3rd day.
